- Candidates should have passed 8th, 10th Class/ITI from a recognized board.

- Sukhani: 8th Standard Pass.
- Engine Driver: 8th Standard Pass.
- Launch Mechanic: 8th Standard Pass.
- Tradesman: (i) I.T.I. Certificate in Mechanic/ Diesel/Mechanic/ Fitter /Turner/Welder/Electrician/ Instrumental/ Carpentry ii) 10th class or equivalent (iii) 2 years experience in Engineering/Automobile/Ship Repair organisation.
- Seaman: 10th class pass or equivalent (ii) 3 years experience in sea-going mechanized vessel with two years in helmsman and seamanship work.
